Announcements

December 3, 2025·Last updated on December 3, 2025

More than 1,200 builders have worked to create, experiment, and push the boundaries of what’s possible with .brave domains, Brave Wallet, BAT, and onchain web experiences. The challenge – that we face in our October announcement and hosted through an official competition hub – brought together designers, developers, makers, and onchain enthusiasts from around the world, all building fully functioning sites using a .brave domain.

Over several weeks, builders submitted personal websites, onchain games, interactive experiments, creator tools, and niche utilities that showcased how creative and powerful onchain website building can be within the Brave ecosystem.

Now that the judging is complete and the results are in, we’re excited to share with you the top 10 winners, the People’s Choice Award recipients, and a curated list of outstanding honorable mentions worth exploring.

The .brave Website-Building Challenge 2025 was an open, global competition inviting anyone to build a fully functioning website using a .brave domain. Participants were encouraged to claim a domain, create and publish a site, and demonstrate what an onchain website could look like in the Brave ecosystem. The challenge ran over a one-month period starting on October 15, 2025, and included a special submission period, three weekly People’s Choice Awards, a full week of judging and a final announcement of the winners on November 20.

More than 1,200 makers entered the competition and submitted a wide range of projects, including personal websites, maker tools, games, interactive experiments and Web3 applications. A total of 15,000 BAT, $18,000 USD in .brave credits, exclusive badges and Brave merchandise were awarded to the top 10 winners, and each People’s Choice Award winner won 300 BAT and $700 in .brave domain credits.

Throughout the competition, community members voted in weekly People’s Choice Award rounds, highlighting builders whose locations resonated with the Brave community.

The People’s Choice Award winners were:

  • Lease.bravely
  • Dao.courageous
  • Triwikrama.brave

These three projects stood out for their design, creativity and involvement and earned extra BAT rewards and .brave credits during the entry period.

While the main jury focused on technical execution, creativity, usability and performance, the People’s Choice Awards represented the heart of the Brave community and rewarded projects that inspired, entertained or delighted regular users.

After an intensive week of reviewing and evaluating each site, page by page, section by section, here are the ten projects that stood above the rest.

Our first-place winner, TravelNotes.brave, provides a visionary look at how travel experiences can evolve in a privacy-first, onchain world. The concept envisions a BAT-powered travel platform where users earn tokens for sharing photos, writing reviews and publishing local guides, all authenticated on-chain to maintain trust and originality. By integrating Brave wallet And Search courageouslythe project combines identity, discovery and rewards in a way that feels seamless and intuitive.

What sets TravelNotes.brave apart is its clear sense of direction: a clear, easy-to-use interface combined with a forward-looking model for how travelers and creators can communicate with each other without relying on centralized platforms. It demonstrates BAT’s potential to unlock new industries and new forms of value exchange in everyday digital experiences. This thoughtful execution and ambitious vision earned TravelNotes.brave first place in the 2025 .brave Website-Building Challenge.

Guanny.brave comes in second and stands out as a serene and beautifully executed progressive calligraphy web app. The project combines traditional artistry with modern onchain technology, featuring a lifelike brush motor that responds smoothly to the pressure and direction of the stroke. The timeless grid layout provides structure without limiting creativity, creating an experience that feels simultaneously meditative and precise.

Thoughtful details of Brave and BAT functionality demonstrate how classic creative practices can evolve in an on-chain environment, offering artists new ways to publish or potentially monetize their work. gunny.brave’s level of finish, craftsmanship and technical quality impressed the judges across the board, earning it a strong second place.

Third, djh23.brave delivers a smart and progressive demonstration of how music makers can sell songs directly to fans using BAT and Brave Wallet. The concept completely eliminates middlemen and presents a streamlined peer-to-peer model in which listeners support artists directly and transparently.

The site combines this idea with a sleek, intuitive user interface, playful animations, and a reactive, star-filled background that makes participating in the demo really fun. djh23.brave highlights how onchain domains and Brave’s tools can power a new wave of creator-first digital marketplaces, earning their well-deserved spot in the Top 3.

These entries impressed the jury for their originality, UI/UX quality, interactivity and alignment with the Brave spirit:

  • 4th place: Innovledia.brave
  • 5th place: buttfonts.brave
  • 6th place: triwikrama.brave
  • 7th place: ethpay.brave
  • 8th place: dao.brave
  • 9th place: conqueror.brave
  • 10th place: retroweb.brave

Each of these projects shows what’s possible when on-chain identity, creativity, and accessible Web3 tools intersect.

Because there were so many entries, it was a challenge to limit the number of winners to ten. Here are some standout entries that caught the jury’s attention but didn’t land in the right place, with clever concepts, impressive engineering or unforgettable design. Others, like heis.brave, used their .brave domain as a redirect to a traditional web destination, emphasizing that onchain domains can also serve as flexible gateways that point anywhere you want your audience to go.

  • noticeably.brave
  • dreadnet.brave
  • heis.courageous
  • primer.courageous
  • si.courageous
  • word4today.brave

To all the more than 1,200 participants, People’s Choice Award voters and everyone who supported the challenge, thank you for bringing so much creativity and energy to the .brave Website-Building Challenge.

This is just the beginning of what’s possible with onchain domains, Brave Wallet, and Web3-based publishing.
