OpenSea clearly tries to be more than ‘just an NFT marketplace’.

OpenSea yesterday made a series of product announcements that shape the future in the short term of the protocol.

The announcements include:

• A re-conceived OpenSea mobile app with AI-Native Trade
• A new flagship NFT collection (a seven-digit treasury for historical and emerging NFTs starting with cryptopunk #5273)
• Details around the final pre-tge reward phase in which 50% of the platform rates Funnel to user rewards

🧠 Why it matters

This is perhaps the most bullish announcement of OpenSea in its existence.

AI -Native Mobile is the right choice -The OpenSea Mobile app has long been lagging behind and must be admitted for an upgrade. A good mobile app is a table cabinet to lay the foundation for future trade.

The flagship fund is just as strategic: it shows that they ‘get NFTs’ and care for them, and will probably provide a positive sentiment of various NFT communities that they buy.
