COZ has unveiled its roadmap for Neon 3, a redesigned version of its desktop and mobile wallet. The update includes a range of new features, including multi-chain support, and a unified software architecture for cross-platform deployment.

Start functions

The initial release of Neon 3 will feature a complete redesign of the wallet’s desktop client, with improved interface tweaks such as account labeling and personalization.

Wallet management is simplified by allowing users to secure all their accounts with a single master password. This functionality works together with new cross-chain compatibility, making it possible to manage addresses on multiple blockchains using a single interface.

Neon will initially support Neo N3, Neo

COZ has upgraded its WalletConnect 2 interface and extended support to Neo X, making it possible for both Neo N3 and X dApps to integrate Neon wallet users.

Technical roadmap

In Q3 2024, COZ plans to introduce non-fungible item skins for customizing account cards based on NFI tokens. The same quarter will see the reintroduction of multi-account support on Ledger hardware wallets, plus a native Flamingo integration for performing token swaps directly from the wallet.

In Q4 2024, the Neo Native Bridge will be integrated into the wallet, allowing Neon users to easily move assets between N3 and X, in addition to supporting cross-chain swaps via Flamingo and other supported exchanges. COZ will also provide an account sync feature, an optional tool for syncing wallet, account and contact information between different Neon products.

The team has highlighted three key priorities for the first half of 2025. The first quarter will focus on accounting features, such as an improved transaction history export feature. In the second quarter, COZ will add self-custody identity management tools and a low-cost fiat ramp to improve onboarding for user applications, in addition to regulatory compliance facilities.
