World Mobile works together with Ditto CME to promote blockchain -connectivity in the Philippines

World Mobile, a mobile network with blockchain, cooperates with Ditto CME, the parent company of Dito Telecom, one of the fastest growing mobile operators in the Philippines, according to the latest reports described to Finbold on 5 February.

The new partnership is expected to bring mobile and broadband services to rural areas and at the same time introduce blockchain technology into the financial landscape of the country.

World Mobile’s Airnodes, some of which will be powered by Starlink’s Low Earth Orbit (Leo) Satellitebackhaul, will play a key role in the operations.

Mobile and broadband services in disadvantaged areas

The telecommunication -Ecosystem of Dito CME merge with World Mobile’s Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network (Depin), wants to offer the partnership around 25 million people with reliable and affordable internet.

Micky Watkins, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of World Mobile Group, emphasized the meaning of these developments:

“This collaboration with Dito CME is an important milestone in our mission to democratize access to connectivity all over the world. By using blockchain technology and a decentralized model for sharing the parts, we can enable communities and offer connectivity solutions that ensure that no one is left behind. “

The DTAKA E-Wallet

Dtaka, a blockchain-driven e-Wallet built on the worldwide mobile chain and set to be integrated into the Ecosystem of Dito CME, will be central to the collaboration.

The wallet works as a dual-token system and offers stable token functionality for transfers and mobile payments and introduces a utility token that is used for gamification, loyalty rewards and user involvement.

Emmanuel Samson, CEO of Dtaka, described Dtaka as the potential to transform the way in which e-Wallets are used in the Southeast Asian country:

“DTAKA is set to bring a revolution in the e-Wallet room in the Philippines, so that users can be set with a seamless and safe blockchain-driven platform. “

Dito CME President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) Donald Lim in turn emphasized the broader impact of the initiative:

“By integrating blockchain technology and extending connectivity to national and sectors, we transform the telecommunications landscape in the Philippines and beyond.”

Bring telecommunication to a decentralized network

The new partnership also emphasizes the growing acceptance of Depin models that emphasize shared property and operation of essential services.

According to the same principles, World Mobile and Ditto CME want to promote a lake including and sustainable telecommunications network that benefits both individual local users and companies.

The first rollout comes in 2025, with the wallet of Dtaka and App that launches the global mobile chain.
