Winklevoss Brothers send two $1,000,000 Bitcoin donations to Donald Trump

Gemini crypto exchange co-founders Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss are each sending $1 million in Bitcoin (BTC) donations to Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

In a lengthy post on the social media platform

According to Cameron Winklevoss,

“I also just donated $1 million in Bitcoin (15.47 BTC) to Donald Trump and will be voting for him in November.

Here’s the TL;DR – President Trump is:

Pro Bitcoin
Pro Crypto
Pro-business

And he will end the Biden administration’s war on crypto. Forward!”

Twin brother Tyler takes a closer look at what they see as the Biden administration’s war on crypto.

“In recent years, the Biden administration has openly declared war on crypto. It has weaponized multiple government agencies to bully, harass, and sue the good actors in our industry in an effort to destroy it. This administration’s actions have been nothing short of an unprecedented abuse of power, employed entirely for distorted political gain, at the complete expense of innovation, the American taxpayer, and the American economy.”

Tyler Winklevoss accuses the Biden administration of using the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) to undermine crypto assets.

“The Biden administration’s SEC has not written a single rule for the crypto industry to help any of its participants understand how to navigate the regulatory landscape for this new asset paradigm.

This is by design. By not writing new rules for crypto, the SEC can disingenuously say that the existing rules — based on a 1946 Supreme Court ruling on a Florida citrus grove, issued before most homes had telephones and 50 years before the advent of the commercial internet – fit for purpose. They are not…

The Biden administration has tainted the mission and corrupted the integrity of these agencies. They are all led by unelected bureaucrats appointed by President Biden to carry out his marching orders.”

The Gemini co-founder concludes by promoting Trump for president because they believe he is pro-crypto and pro-business.

“It’s time for the crypto army to send a message to Washington. Attacking us is political suicide. That’s why I will be casting my vote for President Trump in November, and I hope you will too. Forward!”

Last year, Gemini’s co-founders said Democrats were likely to face voter backlash over their aggressive anti-crypto agenda.
