Our collaboration with Kintsugi is becoming more and more exciting! Following their announcement to join Japan’s billion-dollar DigiDen Digital City Garden Initiative, we are planning and developing a strategy with Kintsugi to enable .Anime and .Manga Web3 domains for DNS through the gTLDs to be applied during the next ICANN initiative. If the application is successful, it will be an important step forward towards integrating traditional Web2 functionalities into our portfolio of Web3 domains.
Kintsugi is known for offering anime fans innovative ways to interact with their favorite shows and characters. Building on our successful partnership that launched the .Anime and .Manga domains, we are now working together on a strategy to plan an application to ICANN to acquire the gTLD equivalents. Together we push the boundaries of digital identity and online presence.
The main focus of this collaboration is to take another step towards enabling DNS for our Web3 TLDs through an application at ICANN. This initiative represents a significant effort to merge the familiar aspects of Web2, such as DNS capabilities, with the advanced, decentralized features of Web3.
