More than 60% of Binance’s institutional investors are optimistic about the outlook for the crypto market over the next 12 months, according to a new survey from the company.
The best global crypto exchange investigated 208 of their institutional clients and “VIP users” between the end of March and mid-May this year.
More than 63% of respondents say they are optimistic about the crypto market in the coming year, and 88% of them are positive about the industry in the next decade.
Nearly 45% of Binance’s institutional investors say they use crypto for intraday trading strategies, the largest primary use case among respondents.
In terms of evaluating which sectors within the crypto ecosystem respondents consider “very important”, the majority (53.9%) said “infrastructure”, followed by layer-1s (48.1%) and layer-2s (43 .8%).
Binance’s institutional investors have also gained a more positive perception of Bitcoin (BTC) over the past year compared to the rest of the crypto market.

“Interestingly, while the perception of crypto and Bitcoin has remained largely unchanged over the past 12 months, a higher proportion of investors have become more positive towards Bitcoin compared to the wider crypto sector (47.3% vs 33.2%, respectively). ).
This could be due to recent market developments, technological innovations in the Bitcoin ecosystem, or perhaps a stronger belief in Bitcoin’s narrative as digital gold in an uncertain macro environment.”
