With the purchase of BlockBeam, Rise In, a leading education platform for transitioning Web2 engineers to Web3, has further expanded its talent network of more than 200,000.

In particular, partnerships with more than 90 university blockchain clubs, including the Princeton Blockchain Club, Blockchain at Berkeley, and Harvard Blockchain, have helped BlockBeam become one of the first and largest Web3-focused ed-tech startups in the United States.

The acquisition will allow Rise In and its partners to teach the next generation of Web3 developers in the United States at some of the world’s top educational institutions, according to the latest information shared with Finbold on October 27.

With the goal of being the premier destination for anyone interested in learning about or building Web3, Rise In is introducing the world’s workforce to blockchain technology. In partnership with the largest blockchain ecosystems in the world, it offers free Web3 education.

Furthermore, after purchasing BlockBeam, Rise In and its partners will be able to reach the best institutions in the world and begin training the next generation of Web3 developers in the United States.

Rise In facilitates the integration of talented alumni into business building support, developer grants, bounty programs, hackathons and employment prospects. Students account for 31% of all bootcamp applications, which is why they want to roll out an internship program especially for them.

Rise In has a community of over 200,000 Web2 developers

Founded in September 2023 in Turkey, Rise In is a fast-growing community of over 200,000 web2 developers. Through online classes and bootcamps, they have already admitted more than 25,000 of them, from more than 90 different countries, to Web3. And as a result of the purchase, Rise In will gain access to an additional 1,000 US-based Web3 developers.

Rise In co-founder and CEO Gulcan Yayla commented:

“We met BlockBeam in 2022, when we were both experimenting with the best methods to train talent on blockchain and Web3. We’re passionate about providing a structured and easy-to-follow developer onboarding process that leads to a meaningful career. Seeing the same passion among the BlockBeam team and their close relationship with the university clubs helped us make the acquisition decision. In this way, we help our partners reach some of the best Web3 talent in the world.”

BlockBeam co-founder Drew Cousin commented:

“It was important to us that an acquirer could not only pass the torch, but also increase the value that BlockBeam created for talent and our partners. We are excited to see Rise In continue to generate opportunities for talent and companies, and accelerate U.S. expansion with our resources.”

Finally, Solana, BNB Chain, Polkadot, Sui, Internet Computer, the Ethereum Foundation, and others are just some of the companies working with Rise In.
