(Regardless of whether you’re ‘hell yeah’ or ‘ugh’ re: the current state of Twitter/X).
Twitter Payments LLC has recently obtained licenses from multiple states to handle crypto payments.
Which suggests that if/when Twitter completes its transformation into ‘X’ (the all-in-one social media/messaging/payments app à la: China’s WeChat), crypto is going to be involved.
…and if Elon’s past choices of crypto integrations at Tesla are followed at Twitter, that means we can expect to see in-app Bitcoin and Dogecoin payments.
Whether or not these payment options will catch on once integrated is yet to be seen.
Regardless, the news alone would likely do wonders for the crypto market.
