Jose Cuervo, the best-selling tequila brand, is about to launch the first tequila distillery in the metaverse. They will do this on Sunday, July 24 in Decentraland to celebrate National Tequila Day.

On July 24, Jose Cuervo will officially open its doors in Decentraland for the first-ever metaverse tequila distillery via the Decentraland platform. According to a company press release, the new distillery “redefines the IRL distillery experience in a way that only the metaverse can create, while paying tribute to the experience you can have at Jose Cuervo’s La Rojeña Distillery in Tequila, Mexico – the Latin American distillery. oldest operating distillery.”
Users who want to visit can create their own virtual cocktail while learning about tequila. People can also meet like-minded others who are interested in the drink.
As part of their visit, users can tour the ‘meta distillery’, enter the Cuervo Discovery Garden and attend the Piña Pool Party. Then go through the Barrel Maze, travel through the Crystal Filter Portal and finally go to The Familia Bar.

Jose Cuervo is a tequila brand run from Mexico by the Beckmann family, who are descendants of the original founders. The company sells one-fifth of the tequila consumed worldwide. Additionally, as of 2012, they sold 3.5 million cases of tequila annually in the US. That accounted for a third of the American market.
The brand was officially introduced in 1795, making it 227 years old. It houses an enormous history. This includes King Ferdinand VI of Spain making a grant to Don José Antonio de Cuervo in 1758. The grant was intended to harvest the plants that were eventually made into tequila.
