Google Cloud’s BigQuery integrates Space and Time’s ZK-Proof for verifiable query results

In a groundbreaking move that promises to revolutionize the way data is processed and verified in the cloud, Space and Time, a leading name in data warehousing, has revealed its innovative zero-knowledge (ZK) proof technology, called ‘Proof of SQL,’ is now integrated with Google Cloud’s BigQuery. This integration opens up new possibilities for data verification in the digital world and especially within the blockchain sector.

James Tromans, head of Web3 at Google Cloud, expressed the importance of this integration, saying: “Our goal is to help Web3 developers build applications at scale by giving them access to a suite of tools and services. Now BigQuery customers have access to Space and Time’s ZK-proof protocol, which can help verify blockchain smart contracts and other business processes that require verifiable computations based on data.”

Improving data integrity and security

Space and Time’s Proof of SQL is a cryptographic protocol designed to verify the results of queries against SQL databases and ensure their accuracy and authenticity. Originally developed for use within the Space and Time data warehouse, this technology can now be leveraged by any SQL database or data warehouse hosted on Google Cloud. This advancement allows developers to cryptographically confirm the accuracy of query results, preventing tampering with the underlying data.

BigQuery, Google Cloud’s serverless and cost-effective data warehouse, is equipped with built-in Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Business Intelligence (BI) and provides scalable insights. The integration of Space and Time’s ZK protocol aims to provide BigQuery users with the cryptographic assurance that their data remains unchanged and that their queries return verifiable results, especially important in the context of blockchain technology.

Blockchain technology is becoming increasingly common, with many companies looking to connect their cloud data warehouse services with smart contracts to facilitate on-chain business logic. The integration of Proof of SQL into BigQuery will enable developers and enterprises to build Large Language Models (LLMs) trained on verifiable data sets.

Space and Time’s decentralized Hybrid Transactional Analytical Processing (HTAP) data warehouse is now available for deployment directly from the Google Cloud marketplace. This data warehouse is a comprehensive solution equipped with a full suite of developer tools, including indexed blockchain data, an API gateway, a next-gen AI frontend, and Proof of SQL ZK technology.

Nate Holiday, CEO and co-founder of Space and Time, highlighted the growing demand for auditability in business operations and the potential of their partnership with Google Cloud. He said: “We are working with Google Cloud to enable BigQuery customers to run ZK-verified data processes, cryptographically guaranteed by Proof of SQL. Companies are already starting to demand verifiability across their entire stack, and this will only increase. Through our partnership with Google Cloud, we are laying the foundation for the ‘verify everything’ future.”

As the first AI-powered decentralized data warehouse, Space and Time seamlessly bridges the gap between on-chain and off-chain data to deliver business use cases for smart contracts. Their Proof of SQL technology opens doors to new use cases and business logic in the field of blockchain technology, making it a valuable resource for developers across industries including financial services, gaming, DeFi and any project that requires verifiable data within enterprises, blockchain and AI required. .

As a Google Cloud Partner, Space and Time benefits from several partner benefits, including development and go-to-market support, as well as Google Cloud credits that they can provide to their customers. With this integration, Space and Time and Google Cloud are ushering in a new era of data authentication, allowing developers and enterprises to embrace a future where the authenticity of data and results can be cryptographically guaranteed, paving the way for more secure and transparent digital ecosystems.
