They say journalists never really clock out. But for Christian, that’s not just a metaphor, it’s a lifestyle. By day, he navigates the ever-changing tides of the cryptocurrency market, using words like a seasoned editor and articles that decipher the jargon for the masses. However, when the PC enters sleep mode, its activities take a more mechanical (and sometimes philosophical) turn.

Christian’s journey with the written word began long before the Bitcoin era. In the hallowed halls of academia, he honed his craft as head writer for his college newspaper. This early love of storytelling paved the way for a successful stint as an editor at a data engineering firm, where his first month essay winnings funded a months-long supply of dog and cat treats—a testament to his devotion to his furry companions (more on that later).

Christian then wandered through the world of journalism, working at newspapers in Canada and even South Korea. He eventually settled for a decade at a local news giant in his hometown in the Philippines and became a total news junkie. But then something new caught his attention: cryptocurrency. It was like a scavenger hunt mixed with storytelling – right up his alley!

So he landed a great gig at NewsBTC, where he is one of the go-to guys for all things crypto. He breaks this confusing stuff down into bite-sized pieces, making it easy for anyone to understand (he credits his management team for teaching him this skill).

Do you think Christian is all work and no play? No chance! When he’s not at his computer, you’ll find him indulging his passion for motorcycles. Christian is a real gearhead and loves tinkering with his bike and enjoying the fun of the open road on his 320cc Yamaha R3. Once a speed demon who could reach 125mph (a feat he vowed never to repeat), he now prefers leisurely drives along the coast, enjoying the wind in his thinning hair.

Speaking of chill, Christian has a group of furry friends waiting for him at home. Two cats and a dog. He swears that cats are way smarter than dogs (sorry, Grizzly), but he still loves them all. Apparently, watching his pets just chilling helps him analyze and write carefully crafted articles even better.

It’s about this man: he works a lot, but he makes sure he has enough coffee to get through the day – and delicious (Filipino) food. He says a delicious meal is the secret ingredient to a great article. And after a long day of crypto crusades, he unwinds with some rum (mixed with milk) while watching slapstick movies.

Looking ahead, Christian sees a bright future with NewsBTC. He says he considers himself privileged to be part of a great organization, where he shares his expertise and passion with a community he values, and with fellow editors – and bosses – he deeply respects.

So, the next time you enter the world of cryptocurrency, remember the man behind the words: the crypto crusader, the grease monkey, and the feline philosopher, all rolled into one.
