On May 29, 2025, Binance Academy and the Pakistan Ministry of Information Technology and Telecom launched a blockchain education Initiative. The program will train 80,000 students and 300 educators on more than 20 national universities.
The effort builds on the existing presence of Binance Academy in Pakistan. Since 2022 it has trained more than 3,000 students from 13 universities in three provinces. With this new partnership, the scope will increase and offer structured blockchain education at national level.
Educators will receive targeted training and learning resources. They will then pass on blockchain and web3 skills to students through classroom instructions.
Curriculum with web3 and blockchain skills
Binance Academy confirmed that this initiative is expanding its Global University Outreach Program (GUOP). Guop has been developed in collaboration with the Blockchain & AI Technology Center (BAITC) and wants to integrate blockchain training in curricula at university level.
As part of this program, the Academy will offer located course material, professional certifications and online learning resources. The goal is to help students gain practical knowledge that can be used in the technical industry.
In addition, the program includes structured workshops, mentorship for professors and curriculum design tailored to local academic standards.
By supporting both faculty and students, Binance Academy is planning to build a skilled workforce that is equipped for blockchain-related careers.
The government endorses Blockchain -Training
Shaza Fatima Khawaja, the Pakistani Minister of IT and Telecom, expressed strong support for the initiative. She noted that the program is in accordance with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s plan for a digitally advanced Pakistan.
“In accordance with the vision of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for a digital empowered Pakistan, this partnership marks an important milestone in the digital transformation of the country,”
she said.
She added that the training would improve the participation of Pakistan in the global technical economy. According to Khawaja, the cooperation helps to build a safe framework for the acceptance of blockchain and at the same time tackling the local demand for technical skills.
Bader Al Kalooti, Measa Head of Growth and Operations at Binance, emphasized that the collaboration is preparing students for work in the digital economy. His comments appeared in the official blog post of Binance Academy in which the partnership was announced.
