Hedera was considered for this partnership because of its continued commitment to advancing innovation in America. According to a post published by America250, the blockchain network would support efforts for this celebration through community engagement, storytelling and technology-driven experiences to make the “Semiquincentennial accessible to all Americans.”
America250 would also honor the anniversary through programs to promote national unity and celebrate the country’s history. Commenting on this, Hedera co-founder Mance Harmon emphasized that the enterprise-level public distributed ledger network would help more people participate through secure digital interactions.
As veterans and technologists of the United States Air Force, Dr. Leemon Baird and I founded Hedera after we saw a gap in the market. The blockchain company helps make digital interactions secure, transparent and verifiable. As the country approaches its 250th anniversary, we are excited to partner with America250 to help more people join in the celebration.
More about the America250 and the Hedera partnership
In the blog post, America250 pointed out that Hedera is governed by the Hedera Council. This group ensures that the long-term stability of the network is maintained through supervision. The network also stands out for its combination of institutional governance, scalable technology and built-in compliance.
According to Rosie Rios, president of America250, the partnership with the blockchain platform represents a new approach to promoting trust, transparency and connectivity.
For generations, American innovation has shaped the world, and the blockchain platform embodies that legacy through its progressive approach to trust, transparency and connectivity. Together, we will leverage technology to bring the Semiquincentennial to life in new and exciting ways for people and communities across the country.
The Council also plans to implement a partnership program for entrepreneurs and community members. This partnership would enable organizations of all sizes to join the Network and contribute to the Network’s success through collaboration with global leaders.
As highlighted in our previous publication, Hedera has launched a Python SDK as part of its initiative to expand the development of the artificial intelligence (AI) blockchain. It has also expanded real-world adoption with the recent integration of Stripe and Mingo, as previously discussed.
