Closely followed crypto strategist and trader Michaël van de Poppe names his top altcoin picks for the current cycle.
In a new strategy video, Van de Poppe tells According to its 165,000 YouTube subscribers, Bitcoin (BTC) investors are likely to start pouring their profits into altcoins, making alt projects much higher.
“Altcoins are going to do very well. They probably will. They have suffered a lot recently from Bitcoin exchange traded funds, but I think the rotation will be very close to an uptrend for altcoins.”
The trader says he is now bullish on several newer altcoins.
“So the altcoins I had in my portfolio will probably do well, but they will outperform newer assets.”
One of its newer top picks is Renzo (REZ), a liquid re-staking token for EigenLayer.
“When I saw the price action that was happening, I rotated some of the altcoins that are relatively old, like ATOM, like Curve into my portfolio and I traded them for newer coins. One of those newer coins is a project I started tweeting called Renzo.
Renzo is trading at $0.172 at the time of writing, up slightly in the last 24 hours.
Next, the trader believes that Portal (PORTAL), a project that aims to unify games from different blockchains on its cross-chain token platform, has a lot of upside potential this cycle.
Portal is trading at $0.97 at the time of writing, down 3.5% in the last 24 hours.
Finally, the trader says the cross-chain messaging protocol Wormhole (W) could see big gains.
Wormhole is trading at $0.66 at the time of writing, up almost 7% in the last 24 hours.
