Ducati has chosen the XRP Ledger (XRPL) to launch its first-ever web3 digital collectibles, increasing blockchain adoption in the real world.
Bologna-based motorcycle manufacturer Ducati becomes the latest company to embrace the launch of XRP Ledger for NFTs in a tweet on Thursday. This development comes as the top brand dives into the world of web3 to tell and showcase its legendary journey.
“Ducati enters the Web3 world with Digital Collectible Program in collaboration with Web3Pro™ & XRP Ledger demonstrating Ducati’s history and present, looking to the future,” read part of the disclosure.

To provide motorists and the global community with a new and exciting experience, Ducati plans to launch a series of NFT collections on the XRP Ledger in partnership with Web3Pro. Through these compelling digital collectibles, Ducati aims to tell its storied humble beginnings and its compelling present and projected exceptional future.
The company has cut a waiting list as it plans to roll out its first free digital collectible on July 26. This first limited edition release is a video arrangement revealing the metamorphosis of Ducati logos placed on manufactured motorcycles from 1946 to 2023. To be eligible for this gift, users must register on the waitlist on or before July 27.
XRP community responds
Members of the XRP community have expressed tremendous excitement at this positive development as activity on the XRPL is bound to increase. In turn, the XRP price could rise more as the blockchain collects gas fees into its own token.
Antony Welfare, the senior advisor on CBDCs and global partnerships at Ripple, is among those commenting on Ducati’s adoption of the XRP Ledger. According to the Ripple advisor, the development adds to the many real-world applications of the decentralized and energy-efficient blockchain.

Sam, another member of the community, noted that the launch of NFTs is an exciting use case of the XRPL, touching on the blockchain’s unique properties. He suggested that XRP Ledger would welcome more adoption in the real world in the coming months or years.
It is worth noting that the adoption of the XRPL has been high in recent months. Notably, the very first XRPL-based Play-to-Mint NFT game, Space Mermaids, launched on the XRP Ledger in June. Similarly, the very first mortgage-backed stablecoin developed by the RWA protocol landed in the XRP Ledger in early July, as reported by The Crypto Basic.
