Get your plungers ready – the Rabbids are now on Reddit.
from Ubisoft Rabbids are quirky white alien rabbits that have spawned countless games since the mid-2000s and even a few Mario crossover games with Nintendo. Redditors can now claim free Rabbids-themed NFT avatars for their profiles on the social forum site.
Each Polygon NFT or “digital collectible” features a Rabbid in a variety of outfits and poses, from a grumpy knight with a plunger to a smiling unicorn bunny with a gold plunger (the plunger was the primary weapon in early Rabbids games).

Why are Rabbid NFTs on Reddit important? Well, Reddit users loved the online discussion platform’s “Snoo” NFT avatars when they launched in July 2022, and have since become one of the most prominent branded NFT launches to date. At the time of writing, all avatars from “Plunger Rabbid” and “Unicorn Rabbid” have already been claimed and are now “sold out,” according to the Reddit website.
Inspired by Reddit’s humanoid alien mascot, the Snoo NFTs have a market cap of over $330 million, according to a Dune dashboard. With Snoo, Reddit has so far released over 13.5 million Polygon NFTs in over 9.7 million unique wallets – and most of those were freebies given away to Reddit users. Reddit’s NFTs have also achieved a total secondary sales volume of more than $32.6 million across nearly 300,000 transactions.
Both Reddit and Ubisoft continue to make strategic moves toward digital ownership through NFTs. While Ubisoft faced backlash for its early iterations – particularly Tezos NFTs in the PC version of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint – the CEO said the studio “still in research mode” when it comes to NFTs.
But Ubisoft is recent Assassin’s Creed The launch of “Smart Collectibles” with Integral Reality Labs (IRL) is another indication that the studio is far from throwing in the towel with crypto.
And Ubisoft has a history of introducing Rabbids to the blockchain world. In 2020 it launched a crypto token game with the funny bunnies for charity Unicef. And the Rabbids were Ubisoft’s first game characters to use the NFT treatment in the Ethereum metaverse game, The Sandbox.
Now Redditors can exchange their Snoo for a Rabbid – watch out for those pesky plungers!
