Vera integrates Cheqd’s decentralized identity stack to enable safe B2B communication

Vera, a safe B2B report platform, works together with decentralized identity infrastructure provider Cheqd to bring verified digital identity into business communication.

In a press release that is shared with crypto.news, Vera announced that it has integrated the decentralized identity stack of Cheqd, including verifiable references, anonreds and affiliated sources. This allows Vera users to authenticate counterparties in real -time, which reduces the risks in industries such as construction, purchasing and finances where fraud and timing are serious concerns. It also ensures quickly onboarding of new suppliers, the safe sharing of documents and fraud -resistant invoicing, all via a single, coded platform.

“The infrastructure of Cheqd enables us not only to protect conversations, but also to prove the identity of participants in a way that is scalable, privacy-representative and ready for the future,” said Max Coleman, co-founder of Vera.

Fraser Edwards, CEO of Cheqd, added that the problem that Vera Tackles is real and immediately, which says:

“Every week we receive fake invoices per e -mail. The Vera solution ensures that every company and individual on the platform are verified. That is a huge leap forward for global business communication.”

Vera started a beta launch on 1 June, aimed at the South African market, with plans to roll out a full MVP at the end of August of this year. The company strives to go beyond South Africa to the American, the UK and the EU markets, where trust-based digital interaction becomes a baseline requirement for compliance and operational efficiency.

Founded in 2021 and built on blockchain technology, Cheqd builds the technology with which companies and individuals can make digital identities and references safe, share and verify. It also offers a way to make data protected by privacy. Their system supports various digital ID standards, such as Europe Eidas 2.0, and includes tools called Trust Registries that help organizations to control who has access and can use trusted data.

In addition, the decentralized identification data from Cheqd and verifiable references play a key role in combating the growing threat of deep traps generated by AI, which are increasingly used in scams and simulations online.
