Ubisoft’s upcoming battler game Champion Tactics: Grimoria Chronicles out of stock free Warlords NFTs within minutes – and saw it $2 million in sales within a few hours of its public issuance, according to CryptoSlam data.
After a limited pre-sale for select fans, the pixelated profile photo-style Warlords were released in less than 20 minutes during the free collection. public currency that happened on Monday at 4pm ET.
The NFTs are now trading on secondary marketplaces such as Open sea for about $600 each, or about 0.27 ETH, at the time of writing. Only 7% of the 9,999 NFTs are currently for sale – a statistic that suggests most collectors plan to hold on to their Warlords so they can use them to unlock the game’s next free coin for the in-game characters .
Although the Warlords NFTs were free to mint, buyers did have to pay Ethereum gas fees for their transactions, which can fluctuate wildly from tens to hundreds of dollars depending on network traffic. Champions Tactics will use the Oasys blockchain for its other crypto integrations, promising a gas-free gaming experience.

However, gamers who missed out on Warlords Coin and don’t want to spend $600 in Ethereum to play the game have no choice. According to the game’s website, Ubisoft will have a free champions figure drop at a later date, with more details yet to be revealed.
