THORWallet expands to Tron for advanced cross-chain swaps

Decentralized wallet ThorWallet has officially integrated the Tron blockchain, allowing users to perform cross-chain swaps using TRC20 and native TRX.

The integration is part of ThorWallet’s mission to make on-chain wealth management and multi-network trading more accessible to global users as cryptocurrency adoption continues.

The addition of TRON allows ThorWallet users to manage USDT (TRC20) and TRX along with other leading blockchain assets, including BTC and ETH, without leaving the wallet.

This allows users to easily diversify their holdings and participate seamlessly in different blockchains.

ThorWallet continues to streamline blockchain compatibility.

The new integration allows wallet users to trade Tron’s native token and USDT with cryptos in Bitcoin, Solana, Binance Smart Chain, and Ethereum.

Meanwhile, ThorWallet leverages THORChain and NEAR Intents to enable secure and efficient chain-to-chain transfers.

For context, ThorWallet added Near Intents on November 13 and hinted at upcoming support for Zcash and TRON.

Commenting on the NEAR integration, Marcel Harmann, CEO of ThorWallet said:

The integration of NEAR Intents marks another major step toward a completely chain-agnostic swap experience. Users can now freely move liquidity between ecosystems without ever giving up custody. That’s what DeFi is for.

The decentralized wallet now features a setup that alleviates the need for manually bridging assets or navigating multiple exchanges.

Individuals can exchange their desired assets within the wallet with just a few clicks.

That provides significant convenience for digital asset participants who move money across platforms and want to save costs and time.

Why TRON?

Tron is one of the largest blockchain platforms in the cryptocurrency industry and is known for its speed and lower transaction fees.

Meanwhile, TRON’s ThorWallet integration provides users with access to a wide range of dApps and DeFi services within the Tron ecosystem.

Moreover, USDT on Tron (TRC20) is faster and cheaper compared to Ethereum-based Tether.

Thus, ThorWallet users interested in faster and cost-friendly offers will find the addition of TRON crucial.

Recently, TRON developers unveiled plans to match Ethereum’s robustness through strengthened EVM compatibility.

Most notably, this integration reflects the broader trend of leveraging blockchain interoperability to drive mass cryptocurrency adoption.
