A group of AI founders and companies are coming together for the ‘AI World Fair’, which will take place in the Decentraland metaverse.
Our initial reaction to this announcement went something like this:
“Okay, so now we’re just mixing buzzwords, right?”
But then we thought about it…
Imagine going back five years and saying to your past self:
“Yes, so there’s an event happening in this universally accessible 3D virtual world known as ‘the metaverse.’
Either way, the event will play host to the world’s best and brightest, where they will discuss the development of a digital superintelligence that is reshaping civilization.”
Now…
Imagine what your past self’s reaction might be if you express disinterest in such an event.
(I’ll even go so far as to call it ‘stupid’).
