Bitcoin by Michael Saylor [BTC] Treasury company Strategy is a well-known name in the crypto space for its aggressive Bitcoin accumulation.
This time, however, Strategy made headlines thanks to its Variable Rate Perpetual Stretch Prf Shs Series A stock, also known as STRC. According to a recent update from BitcoinTreasuries.Net, Strategy approaches over 2,000 BTC purchases via $STRC.

STRC vs MSTR
There is a significant difference between the two strategy stocks. While MSTR acquires Bitcoin and holds it on its balance sheet, STRC focuses on returns rather than direct exposure to BTC.
In terms of volatility, MSTR is more volatile than STRC. So if the price of Bitcoin rises, MSTR will likely perform better, but when it comes to stability, STRC could be a better option.
This comes as the Strive Digital Credit ETF (STRC) opened in the first minute at $99.99 with 4,000 shares. Upon closer inspection, 79,000 shares were issued via at-the-market (ATM) transactions during pre-market hours. In fact, 57.48 BTC had already been stacked before the opening bell.

As the STRC account on X puts it best:
“First active opening in almost a week.”
Moreover, STRC’s Bitcoin accumulation per minute chart further confirmed this sentiment.

Why is STRC gaining popularity in retail compared to MSTR?
Meanwhile, on the price front, STRC shares were trading at $100.02 at the time of writing. On the other hand, MSTR stock was priced at $124.83 after rising 2.79% in the last trading session. That said, MSTR now has approximately 762,099 BTC on its balance sheet.

Despite the massive growth, Strategy CEO Phong Le recently highlighted that private investors own 80% of STRC shares, almost double MSTR’s private ownership. This structure positions STRC as a more reliable option than MSTR and offers shareholders an attractive return of approximately 11%.
Final summary
- The return-generating feature of STRC makes it a viable option compared to MSTR, which is highly volatile.
- Despite different results, both MSTR and STRC offer a perfect setup necessary for Strategy’s growth as the best Bitcoin treasury company.
