Polyhedra Network, the team behind the zero-knowledge (ZK) interoperability solution zkBridge, is working with Google Cloud to expand the adoption of ZK technologies on both Web3 and Web2.

According to details shared by the Polyhedra team in a press release, Google Cloud will help bring Polyhedra’s Proof Cloud to more users.

Proof Cloud is a cloud-based service that allows developers to deploy zero-knowledge (zk) proofs at scale.

Make ZK proofs accessible to more users

The partnership aims to boost the ZK-as-a-service space, with Polyhedra users leveraging Google Cloud’s highly optimized infrastructure to get improved performance and reliability.

Polyhedra sees these improvements through multiple Google Cloud services, including Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Hyperdisk, Vertex AI, and Blockchain Node Engine (BNE).

“Integration with Google Cloud is the first step toward making zero-knowledge proof services accessible to everyone. Zero-knowledge proofs provide an innovative solution to the problems of data validity and scalable computation present in modern computing processes,” said Eric Vreeland, the Chief Strategy Officer at Polyhedra Network.

According to Vreeland, the partnership with the cloud computing services giant will expand Polyhedra’s presence and reach in the Web3 space.

The important infrastructure that Google Cloud brings to the ecosystem will help Polyhedra’s zero-knowledge products gain traction and bring more Web2 users to Web3.

“We want to help grow the Web3 ecosystem by providing developers with secure and scalable technology to build new and innovative applications,” said Rishi Ramchandani, head of APAC Web3 at Google Cloud.

Polyhedra recently valued at $1 billion

Google Cloud has increased collaboration within the blockchain ecosystem. Recently, the company joined Flare Network as an infrastructure provider and validator.

The partnership with Polyhedra follows the blockchain-based project’s $20 million funding round, closing at a $1 billion valuation.

Venture capital firm Polychain Capital led the strategic funding round that also attracted Web3 investment giant Animoca Brands. Hashkey Capital, Emirates Consortium, Mapleblock Capital, UoB Ventures and Longhash Ventures among other VCs also backed Polyhedra.

With the growth of the ZK-proofs infrastructure platform, the zkBridge interoperability solution has increased connectivity to more than 25 blockchains.

Crypto exchange Bitget recently added Polyhedra Network as its 64th Launchpool project.
