Using Web 3 has always been about a promise of privacy, with some apps and dApps still having at least some dependence on centralized servers, centralized clouds, or third-party data. On May 7, 2026, MAGNE.AI announced a partnership with MarsCat to create an “end-to-end” privacy layer in which MarsCat manages the infrastructure for the network and MAGNE.AI builds devices that are secured on that network.
What each side brings to the table
MarsCat is a distributed connectivity network and decentralized Web3 application engine that enables decentralized applications to function in a privacy-first, serverless manner without dependence on centralized servers. This provides secure communications, using decentralized peer-to-peer networks to eliminate the need for central data transfer/notification and therefore allow peers to communicate directly with each other.
The use of encryption and temporary data storage via RelayX will improve the reliability of communications. The RelayX project is backed by a $3 million investment from Animoca Brands, Cogitent Ventures and Cryptogram Venture (CGV), giving it both financial legitimacy and a solid institutional network to grow.
MAGNE.AI has moved into the hardware solutions side to solve similar problems that other companies are working on with software. The US-based technology company focuses on integrating hardware-level encryption security technologies, on-device AI and Web3-based protocols to deliver mobile-centric digital identity, asset protection and secure decentralized engagement.
In MAGNE’s design philosophy, the device itself is part of their security model. Private keys are generated and stored within certified secure hardware, while sensitive operations also take place within a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE). Additionally, the MHash Layer-2 is built on the OP Stack, a powerful blockchain infrastructure that supports low latency and mobile-first application performance.
Why integration makes sense
The architectural logic is simple: a privacy-preserving solution that uses a centralized infrastructure to transmit data still results in leaks. Furthermore, a secure network can only be as secure as the endpoints that connect to it. Both MAGNE.AI’s hardware device security and MarsCat’s serverless, peer-to-peer networking layer complement each other’s blind spots.
MAGNE.AI creates a secure hardware, local processing environment for artificial intelligence by integrating dual-chain architecture with additional support for private data processing on the device. Additionally, the MarsCat innovation allows data to leave the device without ever having to be routed through a single central point or “chokepoint.” Ultimately, MAGNE.AI is building an end-to-end privacy stack that provides secure device, transport, and application-level computing.
A pattern of growing momentum
Both companies plan to integrate seamlessly with their respective partners through ongoing strategic alliances, not just one-off deals. They have both gradually built their portfolios of strategic partnerships over time. One of these partnership deals includes an alliance between Origins Network and the recently founded MarsCat, which combines the two companies’ infrastructure into a single decentralized cloud computing system.
Meanwhile, MAGNE.AI has also added partnerships with ManusPay for payment solutions for AI-enabled agents, and Manadia for verifiable data settlements, each adding an additional layer of value to the already extensive ecosystem. MAGNE.AI sees itself as an intersection of five billion active smartphone users worldwide, the projected $80 billion+ market for AI chips by 2030, and a total of over 400 million Web3 wallets. Less than 20% of these wallets use mobile devices, which is exactly what this new partnership aims to achieve.
Conclusion
The collaboration between MAGNE.AI and MarsCat highlights a significant gap in Web3 blockchain infrastructure initiatives that focus on collaboration between layers rather than competition. There is no point in securing devices or apps on a compromised network. An insecure network, on the other hand, loses value if a device is compromised. With one privacy stack, both MAGNE.AI and MarsCat created a workable centerless decentralization paradigm. MarsCat has also received funding from many institutional investors and demonstrated technological prowess, according to KuCoin.
