Igra Network has launched its public mainnet, introducing a decentralized execution layer compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine on Kaspa’s proof-of-work BlockDAG. The release follows six months of testing.
Igra Labs, a blockchain development company focused on scalable infrastructure, developed the network to address the lack of programmable smart contracts in the Kaspa ecosystem. Kaspa, a proof-of-work blockchain network, has shown growing activity but limited the adoption of decentralized finance due to missing execution capabilities.
At launch, fifteen protocols were implemented on the network. These include Kaskad, a lending protocol similar to Aave; ZealousSwap, a decentralized exchange; and Hyperlane, a cross-chain messaging provider. Wallet services, bridges and analytics tools are also part of the initial ecosystem.
Security testing was conducted by Sigma Prime, a blockchain security company, and no unresolved issues were reported. Igra Labs plans further upgrades in 2026, including a new execution engine and infrastructure designed for automated on-chain interactions.
The project is managed by a Swiss-based association and works with a decentralized governance model. A public token auction is scheduled for the end of March 2026 using an onchain auction mechanism.
