You know that phrase, “If I were the gambling type…”?
For example, when Chevy alludes to the idea that he and Keith Urban are personal friends just because he once saw him at an airport in Sweetgreen…
The expected/appropriate answer is:
“If I were the betting type, I’d bet this is a lot of malarkey.”
(…or if for some reason not use jargon from the early 1900s – you could “bet it’s a bunch of bs”).
Well, the internet is playing the exact same game with Sam Bankman-Fried’s possible prison sentence.
So far the internet says:
“If I were the betting type, I’d bet SBF gets 40-50 years.”
