This hybrid approach offers open access for everyday users and provides regulators verifiable guarantees for institutional transactions.
The quantum threat on the horizon
The most long -term challenge can come from Quantum Computing. Algorithms such as Shor’s can break through today’s cryptographic signatures, allowing attackers to forge transactions or steal funds. Even before that, attackers already collect encrypted data in the hope of decoding it later.
Baek warns: “Quantum Computing is like an asteroid that we can already see on the horizon: we know it is coming and we have time to build a deflection plan – but only if we are now starting to prepare with us.”
Forward projects are already testing quantum -safe signatures and migration aids. Those who adapt early can get both security and user confidence, while those who delay the risk are chaos when the first real quantum attack reaches the headlines.
