There is a malicious app available in the Apple App Store that can be found under the name “Trezor Wallet Suite.”
Trezor – which recently had a huge sales boost thanks to Ledger’s blunder – is a hardware wallet, meaning it’s mostly offline and not connected to the internet.
(Think of a hardware wallet as a password-protected flash drive specifically designed to store digital assets like crypto).
But to put that crypto on the hardware wallet, it must be temporarily connected to some kind of device.
This is where the fake ‘Trezor Wallet Suite’ comes into play.
The real Trezor app, called ‘Trezor Suite Lite’, allows users to connect their Trezor hardware wallet, send and receive crypto, and keep track of their portfolio balance.
