Quilt Health is expanding its mission to streamline the recruitment of clinical test, improve the access of the patient to therapies and to strengthen the supplier networks for sickle cell disease
Boston, Mon / Access to Newswire / 17 June 2025 / Quilt healthA digital health company that focuses on bridging holes in access to treatment for complex diseases has today announced the successful closure of a seed financing round of $ 6 million, which yielded its total financing up to $ 8 million. The round was led by Mac Venture Capital and underlined companies, with the participation of Meridian Street Capital, BoxGroup, Watershed VC and coalition operators. The company was founded with a focus on sickle cell disease and is planning to quickly extend to other hematological, neurological and cardiovascular disorders that promote broader challenges with which millions of people live with complex circumstances and the clinicians and researchers who take care of them.

Quilt Health modernizes access to clinical test by expanding the number and type of sites in tests and closing the gap between Real-World care and research. Despite decades of innovation in the development of medicines, clinical studies remain plagued by an outdated, inefficient recruitment process-a problem increased in research of rare diseases, in which patient pools are small and difficult to reach, resulting in more than 70% of the studies that do not meet the thresholds of the registrations.
Quilt Health technology supports clinical workflows by integrating multiple data sources and applying AI to unstructured data on surface -important patient characteristics and results. Combined with aids for patient involvement, it keeps patients and clinics connected between visits to improve care and make advanced treatments more accessible. For pharmaceutical sponsors, the network and platform of Quilt accelerate the execution of the test, reduce operational costs and support more representative patient registration-a critical factor in improving the diversity of the test. Research sites and doctors from doctors get access to streamlined workflows, improved data collection and communication tools and hands-on recruitment support, so that they can concentrate on providing high-quality care and research.
In addition to financing, Quilt Health recently collaborated with the National Alliance of Sickle Cell Centers (NASCC)In March 2025. With more than 115, Sikkel cell centers represented the wide range of NASCC Quilt health a national network for combining research and patient care. “Together we create a more effective, national, patient -oriented ecosystem that accelerates the road to the market for life -saving treatments,” said Andy EllnerFounder and CEO of Quilt Health.
“We are pleased to work with Quilt Health,” said Julie Kanter, founder and president of NASCC. “By matching a specially built technology solution with the needs of a network of world -class sickle cell centers, including multidisciplinary teams from clinicians and researchers, we will drive to improve the quality of care and access to people who live with sickle cell disease.”
The $ 6 million in seed financing will be used to speed up product development, fuel -r & d and to expand the quilt health team. To ensure that his platform reaches the doctors, researchers and patients who can win the most will also focus on collaboration with a network of high -quality health systems in regions of the country that have traditionally not benefited from large focus and investments in the life sciences.
“Quilt Health is tackling one of the most critical barriers in clinical research patient recruitment and retention-through fundamental reform how the tests work,” said Marlon NicholsManaging partner at Mac Venture Capital. “Quilt is not only improving the efficiency of health care, but the reforming of the entire landscape of research into rare diseases.
