Developed in collaboration with the incredible team of Xbox, offer the new ROG Xbox Ally and Rog Xbox Ally X the best-in-class ergonomics and a full-screen Xbox experience that marries the best of Xbox and PC-Gaming in one coherent package.

The Rog Xbox Ally has an AMD Ryzen ™ Z2 a processor with incredible power efficiency, while the Rog Xbox Ally X offers the new AMD Ryzen ™ AI Z2 Extreme processor for gaming performance at the next level. Both launch holiday 2025 in selected markets, with extra markets that follow.
Comfort all day
The Rog Xbox Ally and the Rog Xbox Ally X have a completely redesigned chassis. Gaming on Handheld is a very personal experience, and comfort in the hand is an important pillar of a well -designed device. With years of feedback on the original ally and Ally X, the Rog Xbox Ally series offers a more comfortable grip than ever, inspired by Xbox. With a redesigned palm support and texture patterns to keep gamers on goal, the Rog Xbox Ally series really increases the bar for comfort with a handheld gaming device.
The ROG Xbox Ally X also has impulpstriggers, which improves the haptic in supported games. These triggers provide more nuance and immersion and are a function that Xbox gamers will expect with their controllers. These devices are the most comfortable and compelling handhelds ever built by Rog.
Seamless software experience
While the ROG Armory Crate Special Edition Software made the original ally easy to use, Rog and Xbox were intended to make the gaming seamless on Windows 11. “We wanted to make an authentic Xbox experience in a handheld form factor,” Roanne Sones, CVP explained to Xbox. “With ROG we let it happen on the Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X.”
As soon as players are switched on on the device, they enter the Xbox experience on full screen. Powered by Windows 11 below, this software is optimized for the Rog Xbox Ally, the reduction of the system overhead and offers simple joystick and button navigation. Fast access to settings and adjustable widgets are available via Game Bar with a single push of the Xbox button. But with the complete freedom of Windows 11 that run under the hood, games and mods from other sources are still easily accessible. The Rog Xbox Ally series offers the power of Xbox, the craftsmanship of ROG and the versatility of Windows, all in one coherent device.
Efficiency and performance
The ROG Xbox Ally X has the new top-of-stack AMD Ryzen Ai Z2 Extreme processor, so it has many horsepower, even in AAA games. Combined with software optimizations from the new Xbox experience, the ROG Xbox Ally X is ready to offer gamers the next generation.
“The battery life is paramount in handhelds such as the Rog Xbox Ally and Ally X,” said Jack Huynh, senior vice president and general manager of AMD. “The Ryzen Z2 series improves efficiency compared to the previous generation and still offers excellent performance in modern games.”
The ROG Xbox Ally offers console caliber performance with its AMD Ryzen Z2 A-Processor. At the same time, the ultra-efficient design at low wattages and the battery of 60Wh improved battery life. In the meantime, the ROG Xbox Ally X takes performance at larger heights and offers more room for graphic loyalty at higher framers with the AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme Processor.
Both chips are ready to take full advantage of the latest software suite from AMD for graphic images and performance improvements, including AMD FidelityFX ™ Super Resolution (FSR), Radeon Super Resolution (RSR) and AMD Fluid Motion Frames (AFM) of which are the last better generation.
In a nod to the future, the AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme Rog Xbox Ally X has an NPU. With these chips from the next generation, the ROG Xbox Ally X is ready to provide the latest AI functions with power as they are introduced.
