BNB Chain has announced an upgrade for 2025, aimed at improving the transaction speed, streamlines the user experience and refining developer tools.
The blockchain network is also planning to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into various aspects of the ecosystem.
Faster transactions and gasless payments
Changpeng Zhao, co-founder and former CEO of Binance, confirmed the plans in a post of 11 February X that emphasizes that it will introduce faster block times, gasless transactions and new AI integration.
According to a corresponding blog post, the 2025 upgrade aims to reduce the latency of the transaction by reducing block times from three seconds to speeds of the sub-second while retaining high transit. This allows the network to process up to 100 million transactions every day.
BNB chain also expands its gasless transaction function. Megafuel, who made this possible on Stablecoins in 2024, will be expanded to support all transactions.
With the updated mechanism, users can pay transaction costs with the help of stablecoins or other BEP-20 tokens. This functionality will also build on the upcoming EIP-7702-based Paymaster Solutions, which will be rolled out on the network this year.
In November 2024, a record 35.5% of BNB chain chain was influenced by sandwich attacks. To help combat this challenge, the blockchain has set up a plan to eliminate the incidents of the malicious maximum extremable value (MEV) on its platform.
The plan will collaborate BSC validators that work together to improve coordination, block voting and distribution and reduce exposure to mempool.
AI -Integration and Developer tools
With AI increasingly that Web3 forms, the BNB chain is updating its ecosystem. More than 60 AI-driven projects have already been launched on the network, which include decentralized finances, gaming, social networks and data infrastructure.
The blockchain plans to integrate AI-driven solutions into its smart portfolios, which will offer better important management, batch transactions and full gas sponsorship through Paymasters. AI assistants embedded in portfolios will also help users with financial management and price comparisons.
The initiative also includes the use of the technology for decentralized data management via protocols such as Dataadaos, which make secure data possible. In addition, BNB chain has aimed at implementing trusted implementation environments (T-Tee’s) and the collection of an Augmented Generation (RAG) for secure AI operations and improved user information protection.
For developers, the network introduced various tools in 2024, such as tokenization services, Meme Munt launch platforms and cross-chain liquidity bridges. Building on this, the blockchain will refine them by optimizing software development kits (SDKs) and application programming interfaces (APIs) and introducing AI-driven coding tools such as BNB chain AI code Copilot.
Moreover, there are plans for continuous support for the Meme Coin ecosystem by working closely with tool providers.
