One of the makers of the top smart contact platform Ethereum (ETH) says the Web3 explosion will be exponentially bigger than the dotcom bubble of the late 1990s.
In a new thread on the social media platform say the Web3 boom is already underway and he believes it will have a positive impact on the world.
“The Web3 boom is underway and will be an order of magnitude bigger than the dot-com boom. It will be a rough and wild ride, but it will change the world for the better through progressive, rigorous decentralization and resistance to censorship.”
Lubin continues remark that he is extremely bullish on ETH because it is attractive to large companies due to its large market cap, maturity, developer base and roadmap.
The Ethereum co-founder also says that blockchains are the next natural step in technological evolution, and that most traditional businesses will eventually migrate to digital ledgers in the coming years.
“Just as every business had to migrate to the Internet in the 90s and 2000s, the Web3 gold rush is about to accelerate dramatically. Web3 – the re-decentralized web – is the natural evolution of the open protocol and open specification-based Internet and Web. Most traditional companies will begin migrating to Web3 in the coming years.”
Lubin next say that President Donald Trump’s crypto-related actions have been “smart.”
“Trump family-related activities take place in a few ecosystems, if any. They will build a big, serious DeFi (decentralized finance) company on Ethereum.
They make smart moves after weighing options. There is more high-value activity that should belong on Ethereum than on other networks. And I believe that the manager himself will be balanced and careful in the way he promotes and uses the different crypto technologies.”
Ethereum is trading at $3,419 at the time of writing.
