The VeBetterDAO community now has access to the exciting new feature: next-level GM NFTs. While users won’t see all available levels right away, the platform plans to gradually unlock additional levels over time. This approach is intended to continuously incentivize users and encourage them to remain actively involved in the community.
One of the most notable benefits for X-Node and Economic Nodes holders is the ability to claim a free upgrade. If you own or have delegated a VeChain Node, you have the option to level up your GM NFT to the highest available level appropriate to the level of your Node, completely free of charge. This initiative serves to increase the value of Node ownership while promoting participation in the ecosystem.
According to the report the relationship between nodes and GM NFTs is designed to be inherently dynamic. Whenever a user upgrades their X/Economic Node, the corresponding GM NFT level is automatically upgraded to reflect this change. The direct correlation ensures that the value and status of GM NFTs are always aligned with the user’s node. Conversely, if an economic node experiences a downgrade, taking into account that X nodes cannot be downgraded, the associated GM NFT will be adjusted accordingly.
Even users without nodes will have the opportunity to enjoy the upgrades through the donation of B3TR tokens to the Treasury. This allows users to make direct upgrades to their GM NFTs and links the donated B3TR tokens to their NFTs, helping to reduce the cost of future upgrades.
Introducing node delegation
VeBetterDAO has introduced a new feature: node delegation. Node delegation allows node owners to share their capabilities with a second delegated address, promoting greater participation within the community. For context, a delegator is a node that participates indirectly in a network’s consensus process without functioning as a full node.
The delegation process prioritizes the security of node ownership. Delegators retain full control over their rights, while delegates cannot transfer, sell, or claim rewards related to the delegated node outside of the VeBetterDAO framework. Additionally, if an existing attachment between a node and a GM NFT is modified through delegation, the connection will be automatically closed to ensure a secure experience.
Specific rules govern the relationship between nodes, GM NFTs, and delegation. For example, GM NFT nodes can only be managed by their owners or delegated users, while any transfer of ownership of a node will result in an automatic reset of the level of the GM NFT.
