What Andrew Tate’s ‘crypto madness’ has to do with Vitalik Buterin

  • Andrew Tate sparked a crypto storm this weekend and turned it into donation calls.
  • His calls reflected Vitalik Buterin’s vision for “better memecoins.”

After causing a massive crypto storm over the weekend, social media influencer and former kickboxer Andrew Tate has bumped those who take advantage of his shilling campaigns to donate for social welfare.

“Anyone who has made money from my crypto madness and wants good Karma can donate to Tate Pledge. Feeding starving children is always rewarded by God.”

So, what is the “crypto madness” he is referring to?

On Friday, Tate challenged his more than 9 million X (formerly Twitter) followers that he would “own the crypto market” if his message reached a certain number of retweets. Later, the influencer posted another provocative post to report That,

“I will crash the Solana network.”

Andrew Tate’s crypto frenzy was felt in Solana

By “crashing the Solana Network,” the former kickboxer meant shilling and buying the various memecoins in high volumes that could overwhelm the network.

One of the memecoins the promoted influencer was Real Ni**er Tate [RNT]. At the time of writing, the token was trading at $0.041, up 4% on the daily chart.

HHowever, over the weekend, the token reached a massive trading volume of $170 million.

Another meme related to Tate, TOPG, also reached a record trading volume of $238 million on June 8, Coingecko facts revealed.

The TOPG developer reportedly offered Tate more than 50% of the supply of the tokens, which the influencer later burned to pump up the tokens.

Later the influencer declared that he made zero, but turned people on Solana into millionaires.

‘I have made over 100 million transactions through Solana and turned people into millionaires. I made zero. Zero. I just bought coins and held them up to the dust. I’ll make zero money because I’m a real nigger

From crypto promotion to social good?

On Monday, however, the influencers called on those who profited from his crypto shilling to donate a portion of the profits to the social good he champions.

Interestingly, Tate’s view resonated with Vitalik Buterin’s recent arguments about celebrity involvement in the memecoin.

Buterin had specifically called for celebrity coins for social good, as opposed to financial gain.

“I’m quite dissatisfied with ‘this cycle’s celebrity experiments’ so far.

However, other celebrities such as Australian Iggy Azalea have chosen the ‘financial path’ together with her mother Iggy [MOTHER] sign.
