Keshav is currently a senior writer at NewsBTC and has been associated with the website since June 14, 2021.

Keshav has been writing for many years, first as a hobbyist and later as a freelancer. He has experience working in various niches, even fiction at one point, but the cryptocurrency industry is the longest he has been associated with.

In terms of formal educational qualifications, Keshav holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from one of India’s premier institutes, the University of Delhi (DU). He started the degree with the goal of eventually pursuing a career in physics, but the outbreak of COVID led to a shift in plans. The virus meant college classes had to be taught online, giving him free time to explore other passions.

Initially just to make some beer money, Keshav unexpectedly started getting clients offering real projects and never looked back. Writing was something he had always enjoyed and to be able to make a living from it was like a dream come true.

Keshav completed his physics degree in 2022 and has since focused on his writing career, but that doesn’t mean his passion for physics is over. He eventually plans to return to college to obtain a master’s degree in the same field, but perhaps only to satisfy his own interest and not to use it as a means to find work.

Keshav has found blockchain and its concepts fascinating since he started diving down the rabbit hole in 2020. On-chain analysis in particular is something he’s keen to explore more, which is why his NewsBTC pieces often involve it in some way.

Coming from a scientific background, Keshav likes concepts to be clear and consistent, so he generally explains the indicators he talks about in some detail so that readers might come away having understood and learned something new.

As for hobbies, Keshav is fond of football, anime and video games. He loves football not only as a spectator, but also as a player. As far as games go, Keshav generally leans towards single-player adventures, with EA FC (formerly FIFA) being the only online game he’s active in. Although, perhaps because he is so focused on the game, these days he is a semi-pro in the EA FC scene, regularly participating in tournaments and sometimes even taking back prize money.

Due to his enthusiasm for anime and games, he has also learned Japanese along the way to consume some of the untranslated gems out there. The skill didn’t remain just a hobby either, he put it to productive use during his search for small gigs at the start of COVID, completing a number of translation jobs from Japanese to English.

Keshav is also keen on fitness, with agility and acceleration-related training making up a large part of his program due to its relevance to football. Additionally, he also has a more traditional, strength-based gym program, which he does to maintain the overall fitness of his body.
