Solana [SOL] could beat Bitcoin [BTC] With investor returns during the coming 12 months. This was the daring prediction of Mert Mumtaz, founder of Solana-oriented Developer Platform Helius Labs. Mumtaz even claimed that Sol had more upside down than BTC. He stated”
“Sol is the most obvious crypto bet … BTC also has a good case, but only basic mathematics on market capitalization and benefits.”
On important catalysts for the aforementioned Sol -above, Mumtaz added,
“It is the most tested struggle with the highest concentration of talent with a balance between retail and institutional and easily has the biggest improvements in the crypto history in 2025 (doubled blockspace, various new validator customers, new consensus, etc.”
In fact, he had previously predicted that Sol could hit $ 500 in 2025.
Can Sol BTC surpass ETH?
Last month, Multicoin Capital partner Kyle Samani doubled his bet on Sol and said It would perform better than Ethereum and Bitcoin.

Samani was convinced that Solana Ethereum could beat in the Defi and payment sectors and eventually became an active one of a trillion dollar.
Yet Sol struggled at the time of writing to keep more than $ 100 in macro uncertainty. If the projections of Samani and Mumtaz are validated, the current value would be a big discount.
Another bullish catalyst would be the American spot -ol ETF approval. However, it is worth noting that a similar update ETH has not increased much. That is why it is still to be seen whether SOL will perform better than ETH if it is approved.
For their part, market participants are not optimistic about Sol who crossed $ 300 in 2025. In fact, according to predictions site Polymarket, gamblers have only priced 17% that Sol will hit a new ATH before 2026.
