LayerZero, an omnichain interoperability protocol, has been launched on the zkSync Era mainnet. The protocol provides a messaging system that allows developers building on zkSync to extend their application to more than 30 supported chains.

In addition, projects already built on LayerZero can be easily extended to zkSync. The protocol provides authentic and guaranteed message delivery with configurable reliability, allowing lightweight messages to be passed across chains.
LayerZero is committed to continuously evaluating and improving security, and as a result has the industry’s largest live bounty program for bugs with up to $15 million. To date, LayerZero has awarded nearly $1 million to white hats who have made revelations. In addition, a separate bug bounty of up to $2 million exists specifically for The Aptos Bridge, which will eventually become part of the main program.
