The Sei Development Foundation, an independent US non-profit organization that promotes open-source permissionless protocols, has announced that TMO Labs, a Korean payment infrastructure company, will integrate its services with the Sei Network. The move aims to integrate blockchain technology into everyday payments in South Korea.
TMO Labs will use Sei as the core infrastructure behind its TMO Wallet. The wallet is already integrated with DaemDaem, a transportation and rewards application with a wide user base. The wallet is also designed to connect to major local platforms such as Naver Pay, Payco and other loyalty ecosystems.
The integration allows users to hold blockchain-based assets, including stablecoins, directly in TMO Wallet. These assets can be linked to existing payment and rewards systems and used in retail purchases, online payments and transportation top-ups.
