Blockchain technology can help modernize the American electric grid by collecting human labor and stranded resources to create decentralized energy infrastructure, according to Cosmo Jiang, a general partner at venture capital company Pantera.
“The entire civilization from the start of time is based on the coordination of stimuli, and blockchain is just a new way to stimulate people in a decentralized way that was previously not possible,” said Jiang Cointelegraph in an interview.
The VC explained that companies in the Gig -Economics have devised ways to allow people to make money with their free time and resources outside their normal working hours through freelance obligations. Blockchain can use this by coordinating unused infrastructure, labor and resources to build a decentralized energy letter, Jiang said:
“There are a few protocols that specialize in the use of token stimuli to encourage ordinary people to install solar panels on their roofs or to install batteries in their homes. And in this way you make this energy grid this not centralized and implemented by heavy capital expenditure.”
Jiang concluded that this type of energy rentralization strengthens the grid and at the same time cuts the bureaucracy that according to the Trump administration is one of the three pillars of ‘America’s AI Action Plan’, a strategy to make the US the world leader in artificial intelligence.

Trump’s White House says that strengthening the American EnergyNet is an important priority for AI development
“The US Electric Grid is one of the largest and most complex machines on earth. It will also have to be upgraded to support data centers and other energy-intensive industries of the future,” said a recent Witte House report.
US President Donald Trump has repeatedly emphasized that the country should maximize its energy sources to meet the demand for AI data centers, crypto-mining and other powerful computer applications.

This includes exploring the generation of nuclear energy and protecting existing grid components against electromagnetic disruption, the president said.
Building redundant energy systems to guarantee maximum grid -uptime and resilience, while ensuring that critical backups are always available, is also a policy objective of the Energy Infrastructure Plan of the US President.
