Eclipse pioneered the first Neon Stack integration, bringing EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) compatibility to SVM (Solana Virtual Machine) networks.

—

Driven by the vision to combine the strengths of Ethereum and Solana, Eclipse aims to redefine the blockchain landscape. By integrating SVM capabilities, Eclipse aims to leverage Solana’s high transaction throughput within the Ethereum ecosystem.

At the heart of this transformative endeavor lies Neon Stack: a proven technology suite developed by Neon EVM’s core team. Neon Stack standardizes development processes and facilitates seamless EVM compatibility for smart contract developers on SVM-based blockchain networks, as envisioned by Eclipse for its SVM L2.

Neon Stack, consisting of Neon EVM smart contracts and Neon Proxy, has already demonstrated its prowess on Solana’s mainnet since July 2023. It has successfully migrated numerous Ethereum-native Solidity dApps to Solana, offering improved scalability and efficiency.

With Eclipse on board as a strategic partner, this collaboration represents a significant leap forward in improving blockchain interoperability and scalability, streamlining infrastructure deployment for developers looking to leverage SVM capabilities within Ethereum-native dApps.
“With Neon Stack, we are paving the way for high-performance, scalable dApps infrastructure that transcends the limitations of traditional blockchain architectures and redefines compute efficiency. We are excited to see Eclipse as the first industry partner using the Neon tech stack.”

Davide Menegaldo, CCO Neon EVM
Growing and scaling the blockchain economy cannot be accomplished by a single entity or protocol. Collaboration is critical to longer-term success in creating a decentralized, multi-chain future, and this unique partnership will open many doors. Both partners envision a future characterized by unparalleled throughput and scalability.

Neel Somani, founder of Eclipse Labs, a software company contributing to the development of the Eclipse network, adds: “The integration of Eclipse with Neon Stack will enable developers to seamlessly move their dApps from EVM chains to Eclipse. implementation, further strengthening the harmonization between Solana and Ethereum. . Solidity developers who want to build on a powerful L2 that uniquely leverages the strengths of the SVM can finally do so.”

With over 13,000 dApps on Ethereum, and only a fraction cross-chained to Solana, this partnership represents a significant opportunity for developers. By leveraging the unique strengths of both Ethereum and Solana ecosystems, developers can build high-quality dApps that take advantage of the best of both worlds.

In the coming months, stakeholders can anticipate the implementation, testing and optimization of this groundbreaking integration, unlocking unprecedented opportunities for blockchain scalability and interoperability.

About Neon EVM

Neon EVM is an Ethereum Virtual Machine on Solana that allows developers to scale Ethereum dApps using Solana as the settlement layer. It works as a smart contract on Solana that accepts transaction requests via public RPC endpoints. It gives developers the ability to deploy Ethereum dApps directly with minimal code reconfiguration, while taking advantage of Solana’s technical benefits such as parallel processing.

About Eclipse

The Eclipse Network is Ethereum’s fastest L2, powered by the Solana Virtual Machine. Eclipse combines the best parts of the modular stack, using Ethereum for settlement, the Solana Virtual Machine for execution, Celestia for data availability, and RISC Zero for proofing. This new architecture enables a high-performance L2, with access to Ethereum’s liquidity, while maintaining the hard constraint of verifiability. Eclipse provides developers with a universal L2 that can be deployed at scale and power the next generation of decentralized applications.
