TinyTap, an ed-tech subsidiary of Web3 developer Animoca Brands, announced on August 30 the integration of new artificial intelligence (AI) and non-fungible token (NFT) tools aimed at educators and parents.

Thanks to the integration of AI, teachers and anyone using the platform can now create an educational game through an actual prompt, which the game then generates in minutes. It also introduced a text-to-image tool that allows creating dynamic educational graphics to enhance games and graphics.

It says that the data used in the AI generator tools is based on over a decade of data within the TinyTap system, based on the “learning architecture of over 250,000 games, millions of activities, and over 170 million plays.”

Yogev Shelly, CEO of TinyTap, told Cointelegraph that he wasn’t just relying on TinyTap’s extensive education data:

“We included governors in the output to ensure games exist within the desired age range.”

Shelly said topics are addressed first through explanations and then as comprehension activities. He said the BETA tools are currently limited to single topic prompts.

“As we continue to develop our AI integration, we aim to create a complete and rapid understanding to create engaging and fun TinyTap games.”

Nevertheless, according to TinyTap’s CEO, these tools will help accelerate content creation and access to it, ultimately aiming to “enable teachers and parents to provide a personalized learning experience for every child.”

The company’s roadmap also included an AI tool it calls “Practice Anywhere,” which turns existing media, such as an educational YouTube video, into content and games.

Yat Siu, the co-founder and executive chairman of Animoca Brands, commented that AI offers “great opportunities for ed tech” and that content produced more efficiently means a larger education library for educators and parents.

In addition to AI tools, starting Q4 of this year, the company will also partner with Open Campus to enable its NFT holders and EDU token holders to store TinyTap games they create in NFTs.

The development helps “inject new liquidity” into education and, according to Shelly, the PublisherNFTs expand the scope of educators’ efforts.

“Teachers are among the largest content creators in the world, with year-long curricula broken down into daily lessons,” he said. “These teachers will be able to reach a wider audience and start making money outside of their classrooms.”

Thought leaders inside and outside the Web3 space have highlighted the imminent future of a “smart education system” infused with blockchain, DAOs, NFTs, and AI components.
