The Sandbox has teamed up with Warner Music to launch a music-themed game jam to close out 2022. Users can compete for 30,000 SAND in rewards! The rewards will be split between the best games and social experiences. The Game Jam is open and the submission deadline is January 2, 2023 at 3:00 PM UTC.
What is the Warner Music Game Jam?
The Warner Music Game Jam is a unique opportunity for users to share their love of music in the form of a game. The participants must therefore create a gaming experience around the theme of music. This can be a social experience, or a game with a storyline. In addition, players can add assets they have created themselves through The Sandbox’s Game Maker software. In addition, entries must be playable and be at least 5 minutes long.
What are the Jam Judging Criteria?
There are 4 rating categories, each with 25 points. These are general idea, game design, creativity and playability. Finally, there is a 5th category, Wow Factor, which awards up to 25 bonus points. Not to mention, $30,000 SAND will be split among the Top 10 Spots.
When does the game failure start?
The Game Jam in between Warner music and the Sandbox celebrates music as we enter the new year. Therefore, there are extra incentives for players who submit their entries before the January 2nd deadline. After that, the vote will take place from 3 January to 27 January. The winners will be announced on February 4, 2023.
