Nasdaq-listed bitcoin treasury Strive has recently made a significant purchase, acquiring 469 bitcoins at an average price of around $77,954 each. This latest buy has increased Strive’s total bitcoin holdings to 25,000 BTC, valued at nearly $2 billion. Despite this substantial increase, Strive remains the fifth largest publicly traded bitcoin company, as per Bitcoin Treasuries data. Companies like Strategy, Twenty One, Metaplanet, and MARA hold more bitcoin than Strive at present.
CEO Matt Cole announced that all the capital raised during the week was generated through sales of SATA, Strive’s perpetual preferred stock. The news of the recent bitcoin purchase has positively impacted Strive’s stock (ASST), leading to a more than 6% increase in trading value.
Strive made its debut as an official bitcoin treasury last year, founded by former Ohio gubernatorial candidate and tech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy. In January 2026, Strive made headlines by acquiring Semler Scientific in an all-stock deal, marking the first instance of a publicly traded Bitcoin treasury company acquiring another firm in the same sector.
Unlike other major bitcoin treasuries that utilize leverage to invest in bitcoin, Strive prides itself on being debt-free. By maintaining a debt-free balance sheet with no bonds, credit lines, or leveraged positions, Strive aims to provide investors with amplified returns through its stock. CEO Matt Cole emphasizes that Strive is unique in its approach, as it operates without any debt, margin requirements, or encumbered bitcoin.
As the cryptocurrency market continues to evolve, Strive’s strategic approach to bitcoin investment sets it apart from its competitors. With a focus on financial stability and sustainable growth, Strive remains a key player in the ever-expanding world of digital assets.
