Illuvium joins groundbreaking partnership with GameStop to launch NFT

Illuvitars are unique and dynamic collectable works of art that reflect a particular avatar of an Illuvial with a distinct expression. Each Illuvitar has an ability based on its rarity, which helps you climb the leaderboard.

Each GameStop x Illuvial D1SK comes with a unique GameStop branded Illuvar with over 108 possible combinations based on six different Illuvials, three emotions, three background phases and two finishes.

All GameStop D1SK purchasers will receive early access to both the creature collecting game, Illuvium Overworld, and the strategic auto-battler, Illuvium Arena!

Illuvium is a blockchain-based game developed on Ethereum that uses the Immutable X network and Layer-2 scaling mechanism. The role-playing game (RPG) features the creation of 3D advanced characters with real-time character-focused gameplay, while simultaneously allowing players to earn in-game non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and deploy their tokenized assets in a decentralized, zero-rate framework.

Illuvium also uses a privacy-preserving, highly scalable architecture with Zero-Knowledge Rollups (zk-Rollups). To complement this and other features, the game uses a decentralized governance structure designed to take advantage of the ecosystem’s ILV token and decentralized autonomous organization (DAO).

GameStop, long known as a brick-and-mortar game store, moved to cryptocurrency a year after r/wallstreetbets’ historic short squeeze sent its stock soaring in January 2021. GameStop established an NFT and cryptocurrency subsidiary in January 2022.
