Polyhedra Network recently announced an exclusive partnership with Cysic. The collaboration between Polyhedra Network and Cysic focuses on the development of a real-time zero-knowledge hardware prover, combining different acceleration approaches. The platform took to social media to announce the respective partnership.

We’re happy to partner with @Cysic_xyz! This will serve to build a real-time ZK hardware prover, combining multiple acceleration approaches. We believe this work will both benefit the security of the ZK community and accelerate the realization of the $ETH Verge approach. pic.twitter.com/rjH9Ggg0R8

Polyhedra Network and Cysic join forces to develop a real-time ZK hardware prover

Polyhedra said the partnership with Cysic focuses on advancing the ZK ecosystem by creating a real-time ZK hardware prover. In this regard, it plans to merge cutting-edge technologies to improve efficiency and security in the blockchain sector. The project takes into account the combination of different acceleration approaches, such as Polyhedra’s Generalized Kilby Reduction proof backend and Cysic’s ZK ASIC chip.

Polyhedra’s effective software algorithms and Cysic’s efficient hardware acceleration develop unparalleled synergy. In this way, the partnership aims to expand the possibilities in the field of zero-knowledge proofing. The current ongoing development is a step towards reshaping the future of ZK technology. Cysic noted that the platform is committed to revolutionizing hardware solutions related to ZK testing.

Cysic added that Polyhedra has led progress on the GKR protocol, achieving milestone achievements over the past year. In this regard, the Expander-proof backend proved more than 15,000 keccak hashes per second when using a standard desktop CPU for users. The respective milestones indicate the potential of the platform’s technology to further improve progress.

The partnership aims to offer real-time ZK testing with the integration of Polyhedra’s Expander backend with Cysic’s C1 chip. This merger promises to deliver distinctive testing speeds, apart from significantly lower power consumption compared to GPU-only solutions. The project also unlocks the possibilities in terms of efficiency and scalability regarding ZK applications.

The Endeavor aims to increase test speeds and minimize energy consumption

According to Polyhedra Network, the joint initiative highlights the importance of cross-industry collaboration for blockchain development. By integrating Cysic’s ASIC solutions and Polyhedra’s unconventional proof backend, the partnership seeks to build an ecosystem that prioritizes accelerating testing speeds, reducing energy consumption and addressing the growing demands of the wider ZK community.
