The Sustainable Innovation Summit
The Web3 Oscar was part of BGA’s agenda in November, along with the Sustainable Innovation Summit, with a prize pool of $100,000.
Both events focused on leveraging blockchain for social good.
The Sustainable Innovation Summit, held from September 9 to November 11, brought together participants from around the world to develop blockchain-based solutions to issues such as poverty, lack of access to water and gender inequality.
The event concluded with a demo at the Grand Hyatt Erawan in Bangkok, where the finalists presented their projects to blockchain pioneers and industry experts.
In addition, ten shortlisted teams addressed sustainability challenges through the lens of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
EthicHub won the top prize, the Grand Social Impact Award, while Plastic Odyssey won the Outstanding Social Innovation Award and ResearchHub won the Emerging Impact Award.
Additional “Rising Star Awards” were presented to promising projects such as Wavy Health, LAKE (LAK3) and KulaDAO.
