The Dark Mythos NFT migration to IOTA EVM: Airdrop will launch in October

  • The Dark Mythos NFT Collection is officially migrating to the IOTA EVM, with full migration guidelines releasing on September 30.
  • Fantasy author Marco Dulk has created the storylines for the collection, which will be broadcast directly in the IOTA EVM from October 7.

The Dark Mythos NFT Collection has announced that the migration to the IOTA EVM is scheduled for next month, marking a new era for the dark fantasy auto-battler platform.

Dark Mythos is the first playable and tradable crypto trading card game (TCG) designed on Shimmer, the IOTA staging network. It officially launched its NFT collection last May as a new offering in the Dark Mythos universe. Holders of these unique NFT cards can unlock exclusive stories written by fantasy author Marco Dulk.

This collection will now go to the IOTA EVM, the team announced today, adding:

The wait is over. All Dark Mythos NFTs are making their way to the JOTA EVM, the start of something monumental! This isn’t just a migration – it’s the foundation of a vast Dark Fantasy ecosystem.

The team promised to provide more rules and guidelines for the migration by September 30, and urged NFT holders to β€œprepare to make their move.” A week later, on October 7, all Dark Mythos NFTs will be dropped on the IOTA EVM.

The team added:

This migration is the cornerstone for our expanded vision, unleashing the full potential of Dark Mythos. Get ready to experience deeper integration, improved usability, and the beginning of our ultimate dark fantasy universe.

When the NFT Collection launched last May, it was billed as the perfect way to give players an engaging narrative experience beyond card collecting. They combine the allure of exclusive storytelling with the thrill of collecting rare NFT cards, creating a whole new experience.

Every NFT holder will get access to exclusive stories created by Dulk. They delve deep into the lore of Dark Mythos and provide more insight into the characters of this mystical fantasy world. Collecting more cards unlocks more storylines, all coming together in a fascinating and immersive experience.

One of the unique differentiators of these maps is that the team brought a renowned fantasy author on board to come up with the storyline, rather than relying on generic AI content like most other projects do. Dulk is known worldwide, especially in the fantasy genre for books such as ‘The Nymphs: Masters of Fire’ and ‘Mila of Haileybury’. This makes the storylines authentic, engaging and easy to relate to and build the characters.

Meanwhile, IOTA is up 1.4% over the day to trade at $0.1459 and keep its market cap above $500 million. Volume also rose 10%, but couldn’t break the $10 million mark.
