The Ethereum Foundation has announced that DevConnect, an Ethereum-oriented meeting of developers and the crypto community, will be held in Buenos Aires later this year. Due to the natural coordination of Argentina with Ethereum, the foundation has decided to support the local community in particular to “bring Argentina on-chain”. This year’s DevConnect will contain a “World Fair”, a special event that focuses on presenting Ethereum applications in various areas, including identity, finances, governance and daily life. “Stablecoins, Defi, identities on chains, financing the public goods it will all be for people to try it,” revealed the DevConnect team. The idea of bringing DevConnect to Argentina was first proposed by Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin in February.
