- The Hackathon revealed the high level of technical talent in Latin -America, especially in blockchain and artificial intelligence.
- 17 innovative projects have been developed that tackle local issues, such as agriculture and digital identity.
- Meta Pool strives to strengthen the nearby ecosystem in the region through continuous support for new developers.
The event brought together more than 90 developers and nearly 20 teams to create technical solutions aimed at solving local problems through artificial intelligence and blockchain technology.
Claudio Cossio, founder of Meta Pool, shared his excitement in an interview after the event:
“It has been 48 intense hours of non -stop work. Personally I did not sleep for more than 24 hours, but it was worth it. What we saw here in Lima is an incredible representation of the talent that exists in Latin -America. This experience has opened our eyes for what can be built in the region.”
The aim of the Hackathon was clear: encouraging participants to develop solutions for local challenges with the help of tools such as almost blockchain, smart contracts and AI agents.
The answer was overwhelming. Seventeen high -quality projects were presented, in which important areas such as agriculture, digital identity and the empowerment of communities were tackled through technology.
“Many participants had never heard from close by before the Hackathon, and in less than 24 hours they built completely on-chain solutions that combined AI and blockchain. That speaks volumes about the skill level of the developers here,” “ Cossio added.
One of the main themes of the projects was the development of decentralized digital identity tools, so that both public and private institutions could verify data without jeopardizing users’ privacy.
Guillermo, a representative of Dev emphasized:
“This hackathon was concrete proof of the immense talent in the region. Our challenge is now to help integrate these teams into the nearby ecosystem, either through financial, educational or strategic support.”
The importance of hosting personal hackathons in Latin America was also emphasized.
“Many of these events are usually held in Europe or the US, places that are simply not accessible to most Latin -American developers due to visa issues or high travel costs. By bringing the event to Lima, we have democratized access to this technology and these opportunities,” “ Cossio explained.
Meta Pool not only saw this event as a competition, but as the start of something much bigger.
“We are not only proud to have learned what can be done with these tools, but more importantly, to have shown the potential of the local market with a path to a global scale. This is just the start of something great,” “ He concluded.
