The activity of developers continues to play the role of the leading factor indicating the position of the blockchain network. In this regard, Ethereum, $BNB Chain and Polygon dominate the blockchain sector in terms of developer activity. According to Santiment’s data, the other prominent blockchains include Solana, Cosmos, Arbitrum, Avalanche, Optimism, Harmony, and Gnosis. The performance of these blockchains produces mixed results.
Ethereum leads blockchains based on weekly developer activity with 9.5K events
Ethereum remains the top blockchain when it comes to developer activity. However, over the past week, developer activity in the Ethereum ecosystem has fallen by 9.86%. In particular, there were a total of 9.5k developer activity events during the week with 58 contributors. The number of contributors therefore indicates a decrease of 93.54%.
Apart from that, $BNB Chain has become the second prominent blockchain based on developer activity. It has witnessed 4.4K developer activity events, underscoring a 2.64% increase over seven days. Nevertheless, the number of contributors has dropped by 93.31% to 32. Next, Polygon is the next name on the list, with 3.6K developer activities, up 3.04% during the week. Furthermore, there were 19 contributors, indicating a staggering 94.33% drop.
After that, the Solana blockchain has witnessed 2.9k developer activities in the past week, registering an increase of 21.75%. Additionally, these events brought in 20 contributors, representing a 93.29% drop. Next, Cosmos’ 2.7K developer activity events of the week recorded a spike of 6.54%. However, contributors shrunk to 7, representing a 97.12% drop. Arbitrum is also up 3.2%, with developer activity events reaching 2.7K. Furthermore, a 94.77% slump has reduced the number of contributors to 15.
Gnosis Bottoms list of 21,000 developer activity events
Moving on, Avalanche’s 17.77% growth in developer activity has boosted the number of events to 2.6K, while a 94.31% drop has brought the number of weekly contributors down to 14. Subsequently, Optimism has witnessed 2.4K developer activity events after a 4.65% weekly drop, and a 95.37% drop has brought the number of contributors to 13. Additionally, Harmony’s 2.4K weekly developer activity events are up 22.21%, while Gnosis’s 21K events are down 2.45%.
